New vacancy: 'Intern Securing Monitoring Quality CS'

Are you interested in working in a start-up that is actively addressing complex environmental and water-related challenges through Citizen Science (CS)? And do you want to contribute to research into the water-quality in and around Rotterdam? Then this internship might be perfect for you!

Starting in May 2022, PULSAQUA is searching for an Intern Securing Monitoring Quality CS.

As an intern at PULSAQUA, you will:

  • Research and review the quality of the measurement processes and methods that are used by Citizen Scientists.
  • Help improve and standardize these measurement processes and methods.
  • Create different guides and instructions to make our projects more accessible.
  • Conduct research into the water-quality and the biodiversity in the Rotte (near Rotterdam).

Position Requirements

The intern identifies with with the following profile:

  • 3rd year bachelor or a master student at a Dutch University.
  • Examples of relevant studies are: Watermanagement, Environmental Engineering, Life Sciences.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English proficiency.
  • You are willing to participate in field work (e.g. taking water samples), and have some experience with field work.

Practical Information

This internship will preferably start in May or June. The approximate duration of the internship is 4-6 months. The intern will receive a compensation of €250, based on 4-5 days per week.
