As part of the LIFE program, PULSAQUA partnered with the municipality Dordrecht and the locals of Wielwijk, a neighborhood in Dordrecht. They developed a citizen science program to monitor the effects of climate adaptive changes in the nearby parks. Pulsaqua helped build the community, develop the methods and organize events. For example, in the quarter meetings we meet up with the group closely involved locals to discuss the progress of the project and needs of the community. Moreover, we designed a playful method for the monitoring of puddles in the area with the input of these locals.
Under the Heel Wielwijk Meet project, PULSAQUA started developing educational material to reach primary schools as well. The pilots for these materials started in the summer of 2025.
