Citizen Science Data Strategist
I am a biologist who enjoys a good stymieing logic puzzle and since June 2023 I have been bringing a little Kiwi Ingenuity to the position of Citizen Science Data Strategist within Pulsaqua.
When working on a project I like to dive in deeply and independently, expanding my skills while exploring technical innovations, in order to offer comprehensive and well-researched solutions to project hurdles. I spend my time designing surveys in a manner that is straightforward to citizen scientists yet most helpful to data analysts, writing scripts designed to enhance not only my workflow, but the efforts of my colleagues, cleaning and analysing CS data, revealing insights, and designing cool plots and maps. I am an advocate of Tidy and FAIR data, in particular data interoperability; a well-written README document makes my day.
